Become a Flavor Captain

FEEST's Flavor Captains and their support are an essential element to the success of Fresh Flavor. Being a Flavor Captain is easy and fun — all you have to do is bring your squad! Your friends, families, co-workers, and comrades will love to join you at this event to eat delicious food, mingle and laugh with new friends, and be inspired by FEEST's youth leaders. We’ll provide you with all the materials you need, and you’ll get to share your passion for youth-led organizing with your community.

What's a Flavor Captain?

A Flavor Captain is a friend of FEEST who agrees to bring 8 friends (including yourself) to the party. You can either buy tickets for your whole squad (8 tickets for a total of $850) and invite your friends to be your guests or buy your own ticket and ask your guests to do the same -- it's up to you! In return, you’ll not only have our undying love, you will automatically be entered into the raffle basket of your choice. Then, during Fresh Flavor, you all get to hang out, make new friends, eat delicious food, and have fun!

What does a Flavor Captain do?

Invite your people! Flavor Captain are in charge of bringing 8 people (including yourself) to Fresh Flavor! Your goal is to invite folks who will connect with FEEST's youth-led vision for healthy, thriving schools and communities. Use any and all methods to reach your family, friends, and colleagues! But don't worry! We will provide you with everything you need to get the party started: invitations, tools, and all the enticing details to inspire people to come.

Let's talk Fresh Flavor!

Fresh Flavor will take place on Friday, September 22nd at 6:30pm at Washington Hall (153 14th Ave, Seattle, WA 98122). The evening will include delicious food and drinks from some of our local faves, inspiring stories from FEEST youth leaders, a raffle with some pretty sweet prizes, and music and dancing throughout the night. You and your guests won’t wanna miss it!

Do me and my guests get a table?

Rather than the traditional large reserved tables, Fresh Flavor has smaller cocktail tables (with stools or chairs) available for everyone. We encourage folks to explore the whole venue and make new friends.

Will there be accessible seating?

FEEST is committed to ensuring that Fresh Flavor is accessible to anyone who wants to join. If you have guests who need seats for the night, please email Devan at devan@feestseattle.org to be sure we reserve seats or a small cocktail table. We are happy to make additional accommodations as needed.

I want to be a FEEST Flavor Captain! What next?

Yay!! Send an email to Cilia at cilia@feestseattle.org and we will send you a Flavor Captain Toolkit to help you get started. We can also set up a phone call to dig into any additional questions you might have.

About FEEST:

FEEST trains youth of color and working-class youth to build collective power and organize for transformative and systemic change in their schools. Our power comes from building a strong base, developing youth leaders, and running dynamic, radically joyful campaigns for systemic material change. Our work is both youth-led and multigenerational!

Our roots started in food justice and through that, we have won systemic improvements in school food in Highline and Seattle Public Schools. Since the 2020 campaign to remove police from Seattle Public Schools, we have expanded our campaign goals to include a wide range of systemic solutions that improve student wellness at school.
